Issue

  • After changing the Active Directory domain of a CIFS-enabled SVM, repeated DR configuration replication failures occur in MetroCluster environment.

Failed Row: Table Name: cifs_server_v2, Operation: get, Fields: DRcluster-mc DRcluster NEWDOMAIN

Failed Replication Reason:

Apply failed for Object: cifs_server_v2 Method: baseline. Reason: Failed to create CIFS server "DRcluster". Reason: Failed to create a domain entry for "NEWDOMAIN". Reason: duplicate entry. Use the (privilege: advanced) "vserver cifs users-and-groups remove-stale-records" command to clean up all the stale local user and group entries for the Vserver and try to create CIFS server again.

  • Run vserver cifs users-and-groups remove-stale-records -vserver <vserver_name> not help to fix the issue.
