ATTO FibreBridge reports error: FC Port FC_PORTx offline in ONTAP EMS log

Issue

  • One of the FC ports on an ATTO bridge is reporting offline with these errors:

[hostname: dsbridge_admin: fc.bridge.fc.port.alert:alert]: Fibre Channel FibreBridge7500N Bridge ATTO_200000xxxxxxx4c0 S/N: FB7500Nxxxxxx WWN: 200000xxxxxxxxx FC Port FC_PORT1 offline.

[hostname: schmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = StorageBridgePortDown_Alert , Alerting Resource = 210000xxxxxxxxx raised by monitor system-connect

[hostname: mgwd: callhome.hm.alert.major:alert]: Call home for Health Monitor process schm: StorageBridgePortDown_Alert[210000xxxxxxxxx].

  • storage bridge show -fields fc-port-index-list,fc-port-oper-state-list shows one FC port as offline:
