Issue

Long-Term Retention (LTR) Snapshots created on the intermediate hop of a cascade are associated with symptoms including, but not limited to:

  • LTR Snapshots created on the intermediate hop of a cascade are not backed up or retained.
  • In a Vault-Mirror Cascade, not all LTR Snapshots taken on the Vault Destination (intermediate hop) are mirrored to the final Mirror hop.
  • A SnapMirror relationship within a cascade topology fails with: The source "svm:volume" is the destination of a SnapMirror relationship with policy "policy" which has Snapshot copy creation schedules. Cascading is not supported for this configuration.
