SVM-DR stopped working after MDV_CRS volumes moved to encrypted agggregate

Issue

  • SVM-DR Updates fail with below error:

Last Transfer Error: Metadata volume is not available on cluster "source". Run "snapmirror config-replication status show" for more details.

  • CRS is not running
    ::> snapmirror config status show -instance
                    Enabled: true
                    Running: false
             Recovery Steps: Verify that Vserver DR has been configured. If Vserver DR has already been configured, check storage status below. 
             If storage status is "ok", contact technical support for assistance.
    
             Storage Status: warning
             Storage In Use: Unavailable
             Storage Remarks: Unable to allocate resources due to error [Job xxxx] Job failed: Failed to create the volume on node "xxxxxx-01". 
             Reason: Internal Error. Failed to save encryption metadata. Verify that all nodes are healthy and try the operation again. 
             For further assistance, contact technical support.
             Recovery Steps: Run the "snapmirror config-replication status show-aggregate-eligibility" command and take steps to provide eligible aggregates to host 
             SnapMirror configuration replication volumes.
             Vserver Streams: warning
             Recovery Steps: Ensure that config-replication storage and communication status are OK. Use command "snapmirror show -fields last-transfer-error" to check
             for the transfer error and perform corrective actions. If the problem persists, contact support
  • MDV_CRS volumes were moved from non-encrypted aggregate to encrypted aggregate .
