SnapMirror fails due to error of CSM: Connection aborted

Issue

  • SnapMirror might fail with below errors:

Failed to get transfer Snapshot information from source volume "xxxxx".(CSM: Connection aborted.) 

Failed to create Snapshot copy snapmirror.c8aa43f0-a646-11ea-9aa8-00a098f0f51b.2025-06-17_001341 on volume vol1. (CSM: Connection aborted.)

  • Presence of CSM_CONNABORTED , csm.createSessionFailed and cpeer.xcm.addr.disc.warn error events in the EMS.
  • Cluster peer show command shows peer as unavailable. ​​​​​​
  • Command cluster peer ping -destination-cluster <dst_cluster_name> shows unreachable status.
