  • Attempting to use XCP to copy files with their ACLs and a 'fallback-user/group' specified
  • XCP log returns "ERROR failed to obtain fallback security principal"
xcp copy -acl -root -fallback-user "domain\thomas" -fallback-group "domain\domain admins" \\source-server\Operations \\dest-server\share\Operations
 
XCP log:
ERROR failed to obtain fallback security principal "netbiosname\domain admins". Please check if the principal with the name "netbiosname\domain admins" exists on "netbiosname".
