Why do some volumes have a Junction Path created while others do not under a SAN-only SVM?

Answer

  • A Junction Path isn't created when a volume is made under a SAN-only SVM unless the Junction Path is set during volume creation or the volume is mounted to the Junction Path post-creation.
  • However, setting a Junction Path at the time of volume creation or mounting the volume to the Junction Path after it has been created will result in the creation of a Junction Path.
