During a proactive migration from IBM storage to NetApp AFF-A400, LUNs presented to IBM i hosts (running IBM i 7.4) using NPIV (N_Port ID Virtualization) were not visible or accessible on the IBM i LPARs. However, the same LUNs were visible when mapped using vSCSI (Virtual SCSI) through the VIOS layer.
