Host cannot log into LIF due to iSCSI access list

Issue

  • Host missing iSCSI session to one LIF
  • New iSCSI sessions fail to be created
  • iSCSI traffic from host to LIF ok:
[root@prod1:~] nc -z 10.0.0.1 3260
Connection to 10.1.1.1 3260 port [tcp/*] succeeded!
  • EMS logs access warning when new login attempted:
[cluster1-01: iswt_admin_thread: iscsi.warning:notice]: ISCSI: Initiator iqn.1998-01.com.vmware:prod1:12535:66 does not have access to portal with ip 10.1.1.1
  • iSCSI access list is in place and does not include the affected LIF:
