Issue

  • SYCONFIG-A shows adapter status is LINK NOT CONNECTED:
slot 1: Fibre Channel Target Host Adapter 1c

  • FCP-ADAPTER.XML or network fcp adapter show for the adapter shows operational status LINK NOT CONNECTED:

  • On the switch side, when the attached cable is swapped to another port, the issue travels with the cable.
  • On the NetApp side, when the cable is swapped with a known working cable from an adapter on the HA partner node, attached to the same fabric/switch, the issue travels with the cable.
