FC Port Shows “portdown” After Mode Change

Issue

  • After changing the mode of FC ports 3c/3d from “initiator” to “target”, port 3c reports status “portdown” and port 3d reports “uncabled”. The change does not take effect.
  • The following EMS log messages are observed:
[Cluster-01:svc_queue_thread:ucm.type.changed:info]: FC-4 type has changed to target on adapter 3c. Reboot the controller for the changes to take effect.
[Cluster-01:svc_queue_thread:ucm.type.changed:info]: FC-4 type has changed to target on adapter 3d. Reboot the controller for the changes to take effect.
