Assigning disk ownership in V-series fails with disk reservation errors

Issue

New Logical Unit Numbers (LUN)s have been presented from backend storage to be mounted on the V-Series. However, disk ownership assignment is failing and the following errors are generated:

Tue Mar 23 21:31:01 GMT [filer04a: disk.reserveFailed:error]: Disk reservation failed on FPN[2007000dec87a340]:0.123L195 CDB 0x5f:0001 - SCSI:illegal request (5 24 0)

Tue Mar 23 21:31:01 GMT [filer04a: diskown.errorDuringIO:error]: error 13 (fatal disk error) on disk FPN[2007000dec87a340]:0.123L195 (S/N 104388495008) while setting disk reservation

Tue Mar 23 21:31:01 GMT [filer04a: disk.releaseFailed:error]: Disk release failed on FPN[2007000dec87a340]:0.123L195 CDB 0x00 - SCSI:no sense (0 0 0)
