ATS micompare detected errors reported and VMs are powering off/restarting randomly

Issue

  • VMs are getting powered off randomly:
Message on DxAPDBSx02 on dxpdlx06.bankbsi.co.id in DCx01-NonCritical : The lock protecting 2000-000001.vmdk has been lost, possibly due to underlying storage issues. If this virtual machine is configured to be highly available, ensure that the virtual machine is running on some other host before clicking OK.
  • File locking errors are seen in the VMkernel:

1: 2025-09-19T21:28:54.825Z In(182) vmkernel: cpu56:2123735)NetPort: 708: Failed to acquire port non-exclusive lock 0x4000035[Failure].

  • SCSI cmd 0x8a  and IO aboreted error reported  in the vmkernel log:

  • Few luns reporting CAW miscompares , while most of the luns are not reporting it:

  • Verified the locking mechanism of the hosts:

  • Created new luns and moved the VMs to the new datastore , still ATS miscompare detected error reported
