S3 clients unable to access ONTAP S3 bucket via HTTPS

Issue

  • S3 client fails to access the S3 bucket using HTTPS.
  • Below error can be seen on the S3 client:

Get "https:xx.xx.xx.xx": tls: failed to verify certificate: x509: connect validate certificate for xx.xx.xx.xx because it doesn't contain any IP SANs.

  • The access to the S3 bucket may succeed when HTTP is used instead.
