Issue

  • vmms.exe is a process used to manage virtual machines on Hyper-V.
  • When vmms.exe fails to access a CIFS share, the Windows Event Viewer logs the following error:

"The SMB client was unable to connect to the share. 

Error: [Access Denied] 

The process requested access to an object, but access rights were not granted."
