Issue

  • Attempting to modify or add permission from the security tab the following error is received on the Windows SMB client:

"the program cannot open the required dialog box because it cannot determine whether the computer is joined to domain"

  • In SecD logs following entry can be found when connecting to AD-LDAP server:

Rcode received from the DNS server(10.0.1.2): 3 when querying 11.1.0.10.in-addr.arpa

  • AD-LDAP connection is set to use sign (Client Session Security)

::> cifs security show -vserver svm1 -fields session-security-for-ad-ldap
vserver   session-security-for-ad-ldap
--------- ----------------------------
