Issue

  • After replacing or decommissioning Active Directory Domain Controllers, ONTAP systems may log the following alert in EMS:
[:secd:secd.ldap.noServers:EMERGENCY]: None of the LDAP servers configured for Vserver(<vserver_name>) are currently accessible via the network for LDAP service type (Service: LDAP(NIS&NameMapping), Operation: GetUserInfoFromName).
  • Additional related messages:
[:secd:secd.conn.auth.failure:notice]: Vserver(<vserver_name>) could not make a connection over the network to server (ip <old_DC_IP>, port 88). Error: Operation timed out (Service: LDAP(NIS&NameMapping), Operation: GetUserInfoFromName).
