Issue

  • The following error appears in EMS every four hours:

[?] Wed Dec 21 00:59:01 -0500 [Cluster: secd: secd.dns.srv.lookup.failed:error]: DNS server failed to look up service (_kerberos._tcp.domain_B) for vserver (SVM1) with error (No server(s) found).

  • Every four hours, the following errors appears in the SecD logs: 

[Node-01: secd: secd.dns.srv.lookup.failed:error]: DNS server failed to look up service (_ldap._tcp.domain_B) for vserver (SVM1) with error (No server(s) found).
[Node-01: secd: secd.dns.srv.lookup.failed:error]: DNS server failed to look up service (_ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.domain_B) for vserver (SVM1) with error (No server(s) found).
[Node-01: secd: secd.dns.srv.lookup.failed:error]: DNS server failed to look up service (_kerberos._tcp.domain_B) for vserver (SVM1) with error (No server(s) found).
[Node-01: secd: secd.ldap.noServers:EMERGENCY]: None of the LDAP servers configured for Vserver (SVM1) are currently accessible via the network.

  • domain_B and associated SRV records do not exist in the DNS server
