Issue

  • Modifying CIFS server security fails:
::> vserver cifs security modify -vserver SVM -is-aes-encryption-enabled
true

Info: In order to enable CIFS AES encryption, the password for the CIFS server machine account must be reset. Enter the
username and password for the CIFS domain "TEST.COM".

Enter your user ID:user@domain.com

Enter your password:

Error: command
failed: Password update failed. Reason: Kerberos Error: KDC Unreachable.
  • cifs security show -vserver SVM displays default value:
::> vserver cifs security show
Vserver: vs1
Kerberos Clock Skew:               3 minutes                                  
Kerberos Ticket Age:               8 hours                                 
Kerberos Renewal Age:              7 days                                 
Kerberos KDC Timeout:              3 seconds
