Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • NetApp XCP
  • Migration with active MySQL file changes

Issue

  • After an XCP NFS migration from Unity source to ONTAP, files in the MySQL #innodb_redo directory differ between the source and destination.
  • Extra #ib_redo* files present on the destination but not on the source.
  • Expected #ib_redo*_tmp files present on the source but not on the destination.
  • Some destination redo files show root:mysql ownership instead of the expected mysql:mysql.
  • XCP sync completes without reporting a migration failure.
  • No errors were reported in the XCP sync logs
