Issue

  • XCP copy and resume fails with below error.
[xcp][15873]: xcp: WARNING: nfs1 tcp 2049 nfs3 c0: recv: [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer
  • No other error's reported in XCP logs before reset is received from server.
  • Event logs on ONTAP reports below
[node1: kernel: Nblade.nfsConnResetAndClose:error]: Shutting down connection with the client. Vserver ID is 1; network data protocol is NFS, Rpc Xid 0x0; client IP address:port is x.x.x.x:y. local IP address is x.x.x.x:y; reason is Idle Timeout, closing connection.
  • NFS "allow idle connection" is enabled and timeout is set to 360 seconds.
::> vserver nfs show -fields allow-idle-connection, idle-connection-timeout
