Windows CIFS share that maps the same account access allowed while NFS access denied
Applies to
- ONTAP 9
- CIFS/SMB
Issue
- A user is attempting to access files on a Unix security style volume via NFS but is getting access denied, which is expected. However, when the user accesses the same files through a CIFS share, the same mapped user has access to the files.
