Additional Information

  • This is an automatic fallback procedure designed to ensure seamless authentication.
  • As part of the fallback procedure, Ontap support SASL (Simple Authentication and Security Layer) as the primary authentication method.
  • In the event that SASL authentication fails, the system will automatically be fallback to the Simple authentication method, and if necessary, to anonymous authentication.
  • Currently do not have the capability to modify or manage this fallback mechanism from the ONTAP side.
  • If your preference is to have authentication exclusively using SASL, we would like to highlight that this may present some challenges due to the hierarchical nature of the fallback mechanism.
  • While we cannot predict with certainty whether issues will arise in such a scenario, we want to ensure you are aware of the potential complexities involved.
