Answer

  • Each client is responsible for determine which protocol to use when connecting to ONTAP.
    • Typically, this would be an older Windows client, or a Linux/Unix client.
  • Please investigate each client.
  • The following command will show you the clients connecting with SMB 2.x
    • ::> cifs session show -protocol-version SMB2,SMB2_1  -fields windows-user,address
