Answer

  • BUILTIN\Users is a  local group on each Windows computer that receives network and local access
  • When a computer joins a domain, the "Domain Users" group is automatically added to the "BUILTIN\Users" group on that computer
  • When first created, this group does not have any members (besides the implied Authenticated Users special group)
  • When the SVM is joined to a domain, the domain\Domain Users group is added to this group
  • If the SVM leaves the domain, the domain\Domain Users group is removed from this group
