Issue

  • Below error seen in ems logs:
Nblade.cifsNbNameConflict:error]: The NetBIOS Name Service received a negative name registration response. The name CLUSTER01 is owned by a remote machine. The IP address being registered is XX.XXX.X.XXX. Object type is: VSERVER with UUID: XXXXX
  • WINS is being used and same netbios name registered twice causing conflict:
::> vserver cifs nbtstat -node NODE-01 -vserver SVM_CIFS -instance
