Issue

  • Nblade.nfsRCChecksumMismatch: Replay cache checksum mismatch detected in retransmitted NFS request from client.
  • Error occurs during nightly Veeam NFS backup jobs, typically 2-6 minutes after job start (scheduled at 6PM EST).
  • Backups complete successfully; no current business impact, but error correction is desired.
  • Error first observed when backup jobs started nearly a year ago after solution implementation.
  • Environment details: Veeam server uses a dedicated NIC for NFS traffic to storage VM.
  • Relevant shares accessed:
    • nfs3://<storage_IP>:/htdc_veeam_backups
    • nfs3://<storage_IP>:/omtc_veeam_backups
    • nfs3://<storage_IP>:/omtc_veeam_cfg_backups
