Issue

  • Unable to reset CIFS server password using vserver cifs domain password reset -vserver vserver_name

Example:

 "Error: command failed: Password update failed. Reason: SecD Error: no connections available."

ERROR secd.kerberos.preauth: Kerberos pre-authentication failure due to out-of-sync machine account password for vserver (SVM).

  • Commnand output of diag secd show-creds displays all credentials normally
