Unable to ping DNS hostname from a network interface in an IPspace

Issue

  • After creating a custom IPspace it is not possible to ping a DNS hostname from that IPspace
  • PING succeeds with the IP address, but not with DNS name :

CLuster1::> network ping -vserver ipspace1 -destination 10.11.12.13
  (network ping)
10.11.12.13 is alive

Cluster1::> network ping -vserver ipspace1 -destination host1.example.com
  (network ping)
Unknown host host1.example.com
