Unable to delete file when cifs share accessed using netbios name

Issue

  • Unable to delete file when accessing cifs share path using netbios name, for example:  "\\netbios-name\share\folder\file" and getting permission denied error.
  • Same file can be deleted if share path accessed using fqdn, for example: "\\netbios-name.domain.com\share\folder\file".
  • Other windows client is able to delete the file using same user while accessing using netbios name.
