Issue

  • Users unable to access CIFS share and getting as "(Audit failed) An attempt to generate a security audit failed":

  • CIFS auditing is enabled on the vserver:
::> vserver audit show -vserver svm1

                   file-share
 
  • CIFS audit destination volume is full:
::> df -h vol1

  • CIFS audit destination directory has been deleted
