Unable to access CIFS shares after SVM migration using snapmirror

Issue

  • Users are unable to access the CIFS share drives via Windows File Explorer at DR cluster after an SVM level migration
  • Below error is seen at the Windows end

  • Identity preserve option was set to True while creating snapmirror which replicates all source vserver configuration including DNS configuration to the destination vserver.

  • From secd logs it is confirmed that  DR is trying to communicate with the DNS server set for the primary site:
