Issue

When attempting backups using Rubrik, Rubrik sends error RBK20900003:

com.rubrik.common.events.UserVisibleException: Metadata scan on SMB share 10.10.10.x :<share>/.snapshot/rubrik_4abf1bd6-e7de-40b0-b29c-a8e80629de02_1733872233971~~~~> did not find any files.<~~~~

Cause: For this fileset backup operation, CDM found zero files that matchall rules for inclusion and exclusion.

Resolution: Verify the rules for inclusion and exclusion in this filesetare valid. Additionally, verify that Rubrik CDM has the appropriate permissionson the file share. Verify that the remote share is online and accessible.Verify the mount can be performed from an SMB or NFS client other than RubrikCDM.

What Happened? Metadata scan on SMB share 10.x.x.x:<sharename$>/.snapshot/rubrik_xxxxxxx-xxxxx-46b7-910e-ea88823656b7_xxxxxxxx did not find any files.

Cause: For this fileset backup operation, CDM found zero files that match all rules for inclusion and exclusion.
Resolution: Verify the rules for inclusion and exclusion in this fileset are valid.
Additionally, verify that Rubrik CDM has the appropriate permissions on the file share.
Verify that the remote share is online and accessible.
Verify the mount can be performed from an SMB or NFS client other than Rubrik CDM.
