Issue

  • Access to CIFS shares is broken when using an FQDN or hostname, but access via IP works
  • EMS / event log show gives errors of this form: Tue Apr 28 00:27:51 -0700 [cluster01-02: secd: secd.conn.auth.failure:notice]: Vserver (svm_cifs1) could not authenticate over the network to server (domain-pdc01). Error: Invalid credentials (Service: LDAP (Active Directory), Operation: SiteDiscovery)
  • SECD logs show: Invalid Credentials ldap/<ip address>@department.domain.com
