ONTAP AV connector shows disconnected after migrating from Trend Micro to Trellix

Issue

  • After migrating from Trend Micro to Trellix antivirus on the Vscan server, vscan shows disconnected on Ontap end.
vserver vscan connection-status show-not-connected
ServerStatus: disconnected
ServerDisconnectReason: remote-closed
  • File scanning requests from ONTAP to the antivirus server are not processed.
  • AV Connector version 1.0.5 is installed on the Vscan server.Trend Micro was uninstalled and Trellix antivirus was installed.
  • All Vscan-related services are running under a privileged service account.
  • After restarting the AV Connector services and disabling/re-enabling Vscan on ONTAP, the server briefly shows as connected and then transitions back to a disconnected state.
  • ONTAP consistently reports the Vscan server as disconnected with the disconnect reason remote-closed.
  • Scanner-pools were recreated for all vservers with privileged user.
