NFSv4 mount fails with access denied

Issue

  • Client is unable to mount using NFSv4, while mounting using NFSv3 works as expected
  • Error seen on the client:
    • root@linux# mount -t nfs4 -o proto=tcp,port=2049 nfs-server:/volNAS/ /mnt/volNAS
      mount.nfs4: access denied by server while mounting nfs-server:/volNAS/
