Issue

  • Backup jobs targeting NFSv4.1 volumes on ONTAP  fail with error NFS4ERR_DELAY.
  • Failures are observed specifically when using the Cohesity backup tool with NFSv4.1, however backups succeed with NFSv3.
  • Error message: [kRetry]: OP_READDIR during Readdir failed with error NFS4ERR_DELAY
  • Export policy, NFSv4.1 enablement, v4-numeric-ids, and LDAP configuration are correct and match with working SVMs.
