NFS server denied mount in environment with quiesced LS mirrors

Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • load-sharing mirror(LSM) is configured but quiesced or its schedule is not set
  • NFS
    • Clients
      • Regular Linux Clients (Optional)
      • ESXi (Optional)
      • vSphere Client (Optional)

Issue

  • Client can access to SVM root but cannot access to newly created volume.
  • junction-path and export policy are configured correctly
  • File permission has no issues.
  • NFS mount from vSphere Client fails with the following error message:

The mount request was denied by the NFS server. Check that the export exists and that the client is permitted to mount it.
