NFS connection access issue from BIMES application

Issue

  • BIMES application is experiencing NFS connection access issues due to the error ACCESS STATUS NFS4ERR_DELAY
  • dns check showed all configured DNS servers as down with Operation timed out
  • In SECD log:

Failed to connect to 10.xx.xxx.x for DNS via Source Address yy.yy.yy.yy: Operation timed out

  • A network ping from the cluster management LIF to the gateway IP address also timed out
  • In the  packet trace we do not see the ICMP packets responses from Switch
  • Packet trace from the switch side confirmed that the switch ports are successfully learning the MAC address of ONTAP ports
  • ONTAP responded correctly to each ARP request initiated by the switch
