NFS client unable to mount over NFSv4 due to client ID mismatch error

Issue

  • RHEL client  is unable to mount the export over NFSv4
  • Same client can mount the export over NFS v3
  • Below error might be visible on the client while mounting

mount.nfs: mount(2): Input/output error
mount.nfs: mount system call failed

  • EMS log will show below error message, it appears when a namestring collision occurs between NFS clients

Nblade.NewClientIdMismatch:alert]: NFSv4 name string "Linux NFSv4.0 xx.xx.xx.xx/yy.yy.yy.yy tcp" collision between clients 10.10.10.20 and 10.10.10.30.
