Issue

  • Misconfigured virus scan server is unable to effectively connect the ONTAP_Admin$ share
  • The ONTAP AV Connector on the server can connect to IPC$, which is distinct from the scan engine's connection
  • EMS / event log show contains events such as the folllowing
    • 6/18/2024 15:39:27 OntapCluster1      ERROR         Nblade.vscanBadUserPrivAccess: For Vserver "SVM1", the attempt to connect to the privileged ONTAP_ADMIN$ share by the client "10.0.0.200" is rejected because its logged-in user "DOMAIN\VScanner01$" is not configured in any of the Vserver active scanner pools.
