Manual copy of certain file types fails with error due to a firewall

Issue

  • Manual copy to a CIFS share of a file (type:.exe, .dll...) is failing
  • Error message observed: "Network Error - there is a problem accessing "\\path...", Make sure you are connected and try again"

  • Copy of other files is happening without any issues
  • A different server with the same user account copying the file works
  • Copying the file from source location to desktop (local disk) works
  • Simultaneous packet traces on destination cluster and client:
