Answer

  • Starting with ONTAP 9.10.1, Windows Active Directory users will first undergo Kerberos authentication. Should this fail, NTLM authentication will be subsequently attempted.
  • LDAP Authentication for a cluster will utilize UNIX credentials stored in Windows Active Directory LDAP for administrative authentication.
