Answer

  • ONTAP supports channel binding starting with ONTAP 9.10.1.
  • The option is enabled by default.
  • Channel binding requires the use of StartTLS or LDAPS, and enabling signing or sealing.
  • When channel binding is enabled, Windows Domain Controllers will no longer report Windows event ID 3039.
