Issue

  • Long delays when accessing a large directory on a single CIFS share with the following possible symptoms:
    • High response time READDIR/READDIR+ requests observed from a packet trace 
    • Timeout on CIFS clients 
    • High latency identified from performance tools 
  • Disabling Access Based Enumeration is not an option due to business requirements
