Getting error Not part of the domain on preferred domain controllers

Issue

  • When running the following commands to add or check the status of a preferred domain controller:

::> vserver cifs domain preferred-dc check -vserver vserver_name
::> vserver cifs domain preferred-dc add -vserver vserver_name -domain domain_name -preferred-dc IP_address

  • The command fails with error Not part of the domain.
  • Other Domain controllers are reachable, showing OK status.
