Fpolicy server not connected due to "no local lif present" on one or more nodes

Issue

  • Fpolicy is enabled, but appears to be disconnected from an SVM on one or more nodes in the cluster
  • The following is observed in EMS:

ERROR         fpolicy.server.disconnect: Connection to the FPolicy server "fpolicy_server" of policy "policy_name" is broken for Vserver SVM1 ( reason: "No local lif present to connect to FPolicy server." ).

  • Some nodes in the cluster are successfully connected to the FPolicy server which contain data LIFs with the 'data-fpolicy-client' service policy.
  • The nodes reporting this error do not have any local data LIFs serving clients.
    • If a node is reporting this error and there are data LIFs for this SVM, then the error is NOT cosmetic.
    • If a node is reporting this error and there are no data LIFs for this SVM, then the error is cosmetic.
  • SVMs are cluster-scoped, enabling Fpolicy on the SVM entails connecting to the Fpolicy server on every node in the cluster.
