File access fails due to Vscan server not closing the file after setting delete on close flag

Issue

  • Only some files in a directory cannot be edited on an SVM with Vscan enabled
  • In a packet trace opening the file results in STATUS_DELETE_PENDING errors
  • In case of a MacOS application, it fails to open specific files with .prlock extension with the error:

"allocator race detected: transaction is not verified for -115/101- 2023-04-25-TestFile.prlock".

  • ::*> vserver vscan show-events contains scan-failed errors for the specific file extension
  • File access possible after closing the CIFS session from the Vscan server
