Failed to create path error is reported when application tries to create files

Issue

  • Users are unable to create files on CIFS share with mixed security styles. 
  • Even after deleting and recreating the folder the files cannot be created.
  • Errors reported on application end :
    Failed to create path [D:/NetApp drives/temp/transfer/w2xxxx]
    Jun 7, 2024 5:52:18 PM:Asm Processing Returned: $ERROR$ Failed to create path [D:/NetApp drives/temp/transfer/w2xxxx]
    
  • Packet traces shows"STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND" and "STATUS_OBJECT_PATH_NOT_FOUND" on the create calls.
  • No errors found on storage end.
