FPolicy server unable to connect to the ONTAP node because https service is not part of network service-policy assigned to the LIF

Issue

  • FPolicy server is unable to connect to the ONTAP Node
    • FPolicy may appear to be connected but is not able to fully establish connection

Example:

::> fpolicy show-engine -vserver SVM01

  • EMS error

Example:

[node01: fpolicy: fpolicy.server.connectError:error]: Node failed to establish a connection with the FPolicy server "10.11.12.14" of policy "Varonis" for Vserver svm1 (reason: "Connection to FPolicy server is broken(EPIPE) received.").

  • The service-policy of the LIF being used for Fpolicy traffic has no management-https service:
